Miss Lou Belle Rummage, age 78, a resident of Columbia passed away on Thursday, June 7, at Life Care Center.
Funeral services for Miss Rummage will be conducted Monday, June 11, 2007 at 11:00 A. M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Miss Rummage was born in the Sharps Corner Community in Maury County. She was the daughter of Anderson J. and Fanny C. Chumbley Rummage and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. She had been a member of Herbert Griffin Post # 19 for twenty seven years and a member of Woodsmen of the World. Miss Rummage was a retired nurse at Maury Regional Hospital working in the operating room for more than thirty years and was a member of Sharps Corner Church of Christ.
She is survived by one sister, Lillian C. Pratt and several nieces and nephews. She had two very special angels and friends, Beth Collins and Jean Clark.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Rosie Lee Javer, Frances A. Wallace, Margaret l. Staggs and Linda Rummage; four brothers, Austin B. Rummage, Charles H. Rummage, James N. Rummage and William T. Rummage.
Pallbearers will be members of the American Legion Post# 19.
Honorary pallbearers will the American Legion Post # 19 Auxiliary.
