Mrs. Lois Kathleen Kilgore, 77, formerly of Dunlap, Tennessee and a resident of Circle Drive in Mt. Pleasant, went home to live forevermore with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 30, 2002. She is at peace and resting "beside the still waters of Heaven."
Funeral services for Mrs. Kilgore will be conducted Tuesday, April 2, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant with Reverend Ronnie Grooms, Reverend Michael Julian, and Eric Nichols officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3:30 p.m. the Bryant Cemetery in Daus, Tennessee of Sequatchie County. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the church. Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The Sequatchie County, Tennessee native was the daughter of the late Lowell and Ruth Hamblen Austin. She was the widow of Homer Kilgore who died in 1981. She was retired from the Housekeeping Department at the Sequatchie General Hospital. She was a Godly woman and member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant.
She is survived by three daughters, Louise Kenneth Johnson of Georgia, Shirley Bobby Wallace of Dunlap, TN, and Patty J.C. Christian of Mt. Pleasant, TN; a son, Randall Elaine Kilgore of Dunlap, TN; 12 Grandchildren and several Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Starks and a grandson, Jeff Kilgore.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Tennessee Baptist Children's Home, or the First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant.
