Lois Holcomb Carroll

August 21, 1933 — December 15, 2004

Mrs. Lois M. Holcomb Carroll, 71, widow of William Padgett ?Pat? Carroll and a resident of Mapleash Avenue in Columbia, died Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at Life Care Center.

Funeral services for Mrs. Carroll will be conducted Saturday, December 18, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend Mike Dawson officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Freeman and Mattie Mannon Holcomb. She was in data Processing with the Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation and Maury Regional Hospital. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Columbia since 1950 and also a member of the Daffodil Society. She was a wonderful homemaker and loving mother.

She is survived by three sons, William Padgett Judy Carroll, Freeman Thomas Marcia Carroll, and Jeffery Alan Kaye Carroll all of Columbia, TN; five granddaughters, Raven Josh Hardison, Elizabeth Marie Carroll, and Brittany T.J Tice all of Columbia, TN, Amy Tom Sutton of Sarasota, FL, and Christy Lynn Carroll of Paris, TX; two great grandsons, Knox Hardison and Cade Tice both of Columbia, TN; three sisters, Ann Bob Shacklett of Thomason, GA, Mildred Holcomb of Columbia, TN, and Sammie Mason of Ridgetop, TN; two brothers, Hal Holcomb and Ray Holcomb both of Columbia, TN; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Freeman ?Hawk? Holcomb; a sister, Okalene Owens.

Pallbearers will be Vance Owens, Ray Holcomb, Hal Holcomb, Ray Druitt, Thomas Anderson, and Jerry White. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Life Care Center and Dr. John Simmons.
