Lisa Darlene Melheim, age 58, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, December 9, 2022, in Columbia, Tennessee.
Lisa was born on May 11, 1964, to the late James Willard Gibson and Juanita Bates Gibson.
She received her nursing degree because she always loved taking care of others. Her daughter, April, inspired her to pursue this career path.
Lisa had a special kind of personality that was genuine and made people gravitate toward her. She enjoyed Stephen King novels, Anne Rice novels, and Dean Koontz novels. She thoroughly enjoyed watching horror movies, which rubbed off on a few of her daughters. She loved her some Patsy Cline, Alabama, Earth, Wind, and Fire, and Prince. She would sing with her daughters and instill a love for music in them.
She adored all of her family very much and will be deeply missed by all the lives she has touched.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Brandy, April, LeAnna, Gabby, Alora, and Emily; grandchildren: Reiko, Daniel, Theo, Haydan, and Destiny, and several extended loving family members.
In addition to her parents, Lisa is preceded in death by her longtime partner, Joe Hartsfield, and her brother Timothy Gibson.
The family will receive friends and visitors on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at 12:00 PM, with one hour of visitation prior. To follow, Ms. Lisa will be laid to rest at Pisgah Cemetery.
