Ms. Lisa Diane White, 44, a resident of Railroad Bed Road in Summertown, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, at Crockett Hospital in Lawrenceburg.
Funeral services for Ms. White will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Columbia with Rev. Frank Smith and Rev. Jim Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Friday from 4:00 – 9:00 P.M. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant.
Born in Lawrenceburg, TN, she was the daughter of Amos Wilkinson of Summertown and the late Betty Jo Laws Wilkinson. She was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and the Nursing Program at Columbia State Community College. Lisa was a registered nurse in Labor and Delivery at Williamson Medical Center having nursed in many fields for 24 years. Lisa was always behind the camera, she loved photography and sewing. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Columbia.
Lisa was not only a mother, granny, sister and friend, she was everybody’s everything. Lisa lived for her children. She put everybody else before herself. Lisa will always be remembered for her outgoing love and care for other people. Lisa had helped coordinate the design of the new Labor and Delivery floor at Williamson Medical Center.
Survivors in addition to her father include her children: Stephanie Allen Merritt and Denny White, both of Columbia; one granddaughter: Madison Merritt of Columbia; two brothers: Dennis Wilkinson of Hohenwald and Randall Cindy Wilkinson of Summertown; three sisters: Darlene Michael Isbell, Brenda John Benderman and Angela Jimmy Burgett, all of Mt. Pleasant; several nieces and nephews; the father of her children: Floyd D. White II and mother and father-in-law: Floyd Sandra M. White of Columbia.
Pallbearers will be Reid Walton, Bill White, Jonathan Heirer, Mack Holt, Sean Fowler, Larry Smith, Patrick Harlan and David Bartoll. Honorary pallbearers will be Mae Duncan, members of the New Beginning Sunday School class of the First United Methodist Church in Columbia and staff of the Williamson Medical Center Labor and Delivery department.
