Lindal Vick, age 85, passed away at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN July 11, 2014.
Lindal was born in Drakesboro, KY June 23, 1929 to the late Roy and Evelyn “Harper” Vick. Lindal was a jack-of-all-trades, throughout his life he has worked many jobs and picking up many different skills over his lifetime. He owned his own restaurant, drove hauling cole as a trucker, worked for a while with the railroad. He finally retired from General Motors where he worked as a wet sander. His greatest achievement of all the things he did, was that he was a loving and devoted husband for 65 years as well as a great father to his children. Lindal was kind and well loved and he will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
Services for Lindal will be Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, TN. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 15, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. also at Williams Funeral Home. Pastor Jeremy Godwin will be officiating.
Lindal is survived by his: wife of 65 years Ada Vick; sons: Glendon Roy Vick and David Lynn Vick; daughter: Elizabeth Jane Vick; 8 grand kids and 12 great grand kids; and his brother Ernie Mayes.
