Linda Faye Mammy Lovett

June 11, 1946 — August 9, 2012

Linda Faye "Mammy" Lovett, age 66 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away surrounded by her children at Maury Regional Medical Center Thursday, August 9, 2012.

Faye was born June 11, 1946 to the late Vivian and Olvo Conner in Maury County. She married James William Lovett on May 22, 1965, and they were married until his passing in 2003. Faye's most rewarding occupation was a homemaker, providing a place that felt warm to all guests that came to visit. The family reflected on the memory of their "Mammy" stating, "She loved gardening and collecting figurines of angels, but she absolutely loved attending wrestling on Saturday nights."

She is survived by her children: James D. Jodi McCrary Lovett of South Carolina, William Darrell Rita Lovett of Mt. Pleasant, Billy Lee Lois Lovett of Lawrenceburg; her grandchildren: Kim Caleb Bailey, Jennifer Lovett, JJ Lovett, Cody Lovett, Andrea Eric Lynch, Candice Wes Ricketts, Will Lovett, Emma Lovett; sister in law: Christine Bennett, Allene Lovett, and Pauline Moore; brother in law: Billy Pam Lovett; cousin: Janice "Snook" Cathey; 6 grandchildren, as well as many more members of her extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Madeline Lovett.

The Family will invite friends into the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant Saturday, August 11, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be conducted in the Chapel Sunday, August 12, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Dickey Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Prayer at Polk Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Dick Conner, Andy Brumit, Leo Conner, Ernie Bennett, Timmy Moore, and Joe Bennett. Honorary Pallbearers will be Raymond Conner, Gary Adams, Larry Adams, Cody Lovett, and JJ Lovett. The family would like to thank Dr. Shawn Reed, third floor nursing staff, and the staff of the CCU floor at Maury Regional Medical Center for their great care.
