Linda Young

Linda Isabell Young, 79, of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in her home on January 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on February 20, 1945, to the late Bonnie Blue Isabell and Annie McNeese Isabell, Linda built a life centered around family, kindness, and the simple joys of life. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, always putting her loved ones first. She found joy in cooking, camping, and square dancing, and she had a deep love for old country hymns. Known for her generous spirit, Linda was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her beloved dog, Bella, was her constant companion and a cherished part of her life.

She is now reunited with her husband, Jerry Young; her daughter, Melinda Buie; and her siblings, Helen Bolton, Ulner Isabell, Katherine Medlin, Marshall Isabell, Margaret Stewart, Seth Isabell, and Kaye Isabell.

Linda’s memory lives on in those who loved her: her children, Karen (Roy) Henson of Summertown, Paula (Jeff) West of Lebanon, and Tracy (Michael) Workman of Mount Pleasant; her son-in-law, Terry Buie of Summertown; her grandchildren, Jacob (Katie) Buie, Candice Tidwell, Jared (Brittney) West, Mariah (Devin) Davis, and Maddox Buie; and her great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Andre, Brantley, and Tucker West. She is also survived by her sister, Rose Bondurant; her special niece, Janet Floyd; and her beloved furbaby, Bella.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Tennessee Oncology of Columbia, Maury Regional Home Health, and Caris Healthcare of Columbia, with special thanks to caregivers Casey Cummins, Sunshine Powell, and Angela Hie for their compassionate care.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Buie, Terry Buie, George Gilley, Michael Workman, and Roy Henson.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. Linda’s funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with visitation beginning one hour prior at Williams Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Polk Memorial Gardens.

Linda’s legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
