Linda Jane Eastep

Mrs. Linda Jane Dickens Eastep, 59, a resident of Trotwood Avenue in Columbia, died Wednesday, May 21, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital.

Funeral services for Mrs. Eastep will be conducted Friday, May 23, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at the Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Vernon Brooks and Randy Kersey officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M. and Thursday from 2:00 until 9:00 P.M. at the Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home.

The Colbert County Alabama native was the daughter of the late James Garfield and Lula Bell Ledlow Dickens and the wife of the late William David Eastep of Columbia. She was formerly employed at Mt. Pleasant Manufacturing Company in the shipping and receiving department and a member of the Beech Hill Church of Christ.

Mrs. Eastep is survived by four daughters, Kim Jay Morgan of Lynnville, Dana Bobby Daniels, Teri Eric Hill, and Cheryl Jerry Thornton all of Columbia; a very special friend and companion, Harry Masterson of Columbia; eight grandchildren, T.J. Mobbs, Blake Daniels, Trey Newport, Hannah Hill, Drew Thornton, Jay P. David Morgan, Baylee Thornton and E.J. Hill; four sisters, Lucille Osborne and Alice Terry both of Alabama, Shelby Chatman of Mt. Pleasant and Janice Readey of Columbia; two brothers, Belton and Roy Dickens of Columbia; two sisters-in-law, Ann J.B. Lamar of Columbia and Sue Bill Davis of Mt. Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents Mrs. Eastep was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Dickens and one sister, Mildred Dickens .

Pallbearers will be Mike Osborne, Eddie Osborne, Danny Terry, Stan Dickens, Kerry Dickens and Scott Dickens.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Beech Hill Church of Christ, Dr. Belinda Bart, and Campbell P. Ridley Sr. and Campbell P. Ridley Jr.

Memorials may be made to the Beech Hill Church of Christ.
