Mrs. Linda L. Dunavant Dixon, 66, a resident of Brannon Court in Columbia, died Saturday, May 21, 2005 at her home.
A graveside memorial service will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00 am at Polk Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jim Gardner officiating. Williams Funeral Home in Columbia is in charge of the arrangements.
The Maury County native was the daughter of late Buford Dunavant and Coleah Zeigler Dunavant Henson. She was a retired cashier with Wal-mart and a member of Craft Memorial Methodist Church.
She is survived by a two daughters, Valerie Dixon and Melanie Gene Fields, both of Columbia; two sons, Brian Keith Dixon and Ronnie Allan Dixon, both of Columbia; three grandchildren, Stefanie Fields, Desiree Dixon and Chris Fields, all of Columbia; two sisters, Barbara Frank Nicholson of Columbia and Sherrie Bowman of N. Carolina; a brother, Harry Ruth Dunavant of Columbia; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, JoAnn Allison and a nephew, Tony Wallace.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny White, Mark Bailey, Dr. J. Cummins Couch and Dr. Erik Iversen.
