Linda Carol Barker, 61, resident of Red Row in Mt. Pleasant, passed away Monday, December 19 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Born December 30, 1949 in Giles County, daughter of the late Charlie and Christine Corter Pierce and the wife of James Barker. She was a seamstress for Mt. Pleasant Manufacturing for 18 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and of the Church of Christ faith.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter: Vikki DeWayne Bolton of Mt. Pleasant; granddaughters: Nora Deanna Bolton and Nina Delayne Bolton, both of Mt. Pleasant; sisters: Nancy Pierce and Charlotte Glass, both of Summertown and Barbara Wayne Fuller of Mt. Pleasant; brothers: Charles Ellen Pierce, Thomas Pierce and Alton Mary Pierce, all of Summertown; brother-in-law: John William Johnson of Columbia; her 4 "babies": Sissy, Petey, Goldie and Stubby. She was preceded in death by sisters: Betty Bolton and Ida Mae Johnson.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, December 22 at the Ebenezer Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant with Randy McNeese officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant.
Pallbearers will be DeWayne Bolton, Allen Pierce, Walter Bolton and Charles Pierce.
