Mrs. Lillie Newton Crues, age 84, a resident of Park Plus Court in Columbia, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, at Columbia Care & Rehab Center.
Graveside services for Mrs. Crues will be conducted Thursday, Mach 20 at 2:00 PM at the New Grove Cemetery in Lincoln County with Pastor Dave Baker officiating.
The family will visit with friends Thursday from 11:00 am until 12:00 Noon at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia.
Born in Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Mabel Vaughn Newton and the wife of the late Woodrow Tosh and the late William Crues. She was a homemaker and of the Church of God faith.
She is survived by her children: Faye James Clark and Virginia Massie, both of Columbia, Nancy Barnes of Ashland City, TN, Glenn Shirley Tosh of Murfreesboro and Bobby Ella Tosh of Alabama; sister: Carol Luke Mears of Fayetteville; special grandchildren: Glen Tosh, Jr of Shelbyville, Kim Clark and Amber Halbrooks, both of Culleoka, Beth King of Mt. Pleasant, Mickey Tosh of Murfreesboro and 26 other grandchildren; several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son: Ricky Tosh, sisters: Ella Cates and Lucy Anun; grandchildren: James Clark, Vickey Love and Kevin Tosh.
Pallbearers will be Darrell Clark, Bradley Clark, John Tosh, Clint Barnes, Wayne King and Houston Sullivan.
