Lillian D. "Tinky" Bennett

Mrs. Lillian "Tinky" Hughes Bennett , 62 , a resident of Spring Hill, passed away Saturday June 5, 2010 at St Thomas Hospital.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bennett will be conducted Tuesday, June 8, at10:00 A. M. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rick Points and Rev. Darrell Thrasher officiating. Burial will follow in the Bufford Cemetery.

The family will visit friends from Sunday 5:00-9:00 P.M. and Monday from 3:00-9:00 P.M.at the funeral home.

Tinky was born in Williamson County on January 25, 1948 to Mildred Holland Hughes of Spring Hill and the late Leo Hughes. She took care of children in her home for many years. She was a member of the Thompson Station Church of Christ.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children: Jerry Wayne Jessica Pipkin of Lynnville and Tonya Sean Barnett of Spring Hill; step-daughter: Tammy Bennett of Columbia; brothers and sisters: Kenneth Paula Hughes of Smyrna, Carolyn Wylie of Spring Hill and Paul Linda Hughes of Columbia;grandchildren: Lindzi Pipkin of Culleoka, Dayton Rudd of Lynnville, Ellen Ballard of Columbia, Dylan Grooms of Spring Hill, Emma Pipkin of Lynnville, Nevaeh Barnett and Aislyn Barnett of Spring Hill.

Pallberaers will be Jake Hughes, Bryan Hughes, Tom Wylie, Wade Newcomb, Jeff Newcomb and Matt Campbell. Honorary pallbearers will beSean Barnett, Billy Holland, Robert Armstrong, Chad Helton and Elam Barnett.
