Mrs. Lillian Haywood, age 94, a long time resident of the Mt. Joy Community, passed away on Saturday, February 7, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
Funeral services for Mrs. Haywood will be conducted Monday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Dwight Liles officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth Seaton Sims. She was the wife of the late Harry Haywood. Mrs. Haywood was a homemaker, loved working with her flowers and embroidery work. She was a member of the Mt. Joy Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her children: Bobby Betty Haywood of Mt. Pleasant, Wilma Dean Glock of Nashville and Leon Opal Haywood of Columbia; one brother: Austin Sims of Chiefland, Fl; two sisters: Ruby McWilliams and Elizabeth Kelley, both of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren: David Ginger Haywood of Mt. Pleasant, Danny Haywood of Tampa, FL, Janet Bill Richards of Spring Hill, and Ronnie Haywood of Columbia; three great-grandchildren: David Jennifer Haywood, Jr., of Nashville and Brandon and Nicholas Richards of Spring Hill; one great-great-grandson: Brock Haywood of Nashville. Mrs. Haywood was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
