Mr. Lester Stanfill, age 78, a resident of Snow Creek Road in Santa Fe passed away Saturday at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Stanfill will be conducted Monday at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Reverend Howard Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 4:00 ? 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late Rudolphus and Pearl Hill Stanfill and the husband of Audrey Hay Stanfill. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for the Maury County Highway Department and the City of Columbia. He was a member of the Theta Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Beverly Lentz of Columbia, Tony Renee Stanfill of Santa Fe and Carla John L. Morton of Primm Springs; grandchildren, Tammie McWright of Nashville, TN, Shane Lentz of Spring Hill, Brian Lentz of Columbia, TN, Michelle Morton and John Morton III both of Primm Springs; two sisters, Katherine Prince and Sara Johnson both of Columbia; two brothers, John Joy Stanfill of Primm Springs and Eddie Ray Sue Stanfill of Columbia. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Stanfill Patterson.
Pallbearers will be Roy Johnson, Ricky Stanfill, Robin Stanfill, Jeff Stanfill, Shane Lentz, John L. Morton, III, Jake Clark, Ben Clark and Chris Walters.
Honorary pallbearers will be Buford Kelley and John L. Morton, Jr.
