Leslie Goad

March 10, 1933 — February 25, 2022

Leslie Hollis Goad, age 88, passed away at Life Care Center of Columbia on February 25, 2022.
Leslie was born on March 10, 1933 to the late William Clarence Goad and Sarah Phillips Goad.
Leslie served in the United States Air Force and served in the Korean War. After the military, he worked at Occidental Chemicals until his retirement.
Leslie loved to hunt and fish. It didn’t matter where as long as the fish were biting. He also loved old John Wayne western movies, his favorite being Gunsmoke. He was also a big fan of the Atlanta Braves.
Leslie loved his family especially his grandkids and great grandkids. He was always happy to hear the latest news in their lives or see them.
Leslie was a long time member of the Philippi Church of Christ. He served as a deacon and elder at his church.
Leslie has now been reunited with his wife of 56 years: Peggy Jean Price Goad and son Leslie Hollis Goad Jr.
Leslie is also preceded by his parents; brother: Earl Goad and Lambert Lamar Goad; and sister: Earlene Rhodes.
Leslie is survived by his children: Brenda (Johnny) Cox, Linda (Teddy) Fralix, Barry (April) Goad, and Bill (Tammy) Goad; grandchildren: Jeremy Fralix, Josh Fralix, Jonathan Cox, Jason Cox, Leslie B. Goad, Tyler Goad, Marissa Goad-Eder, and Barry Colton Goad; greatgrandchildren: Gideon Fralix, Amirra Fralix, Emery Cox, Brylee Cox, Brody Cox, and Gavin Goad; siblings: Helen Watkins, Betty Joyce Hubbard, and Ernest Goad.
A service for Leslie will be Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee with Bro. Josh Hardin officiating and Bro. Jeff Thomason is the song leader. A visitation for Leslie will be from 11 AM to the start of the service. Burial will be at Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors attending.
