Mr. Leroy Powell, 50, resident of Garner Road in Mt. Pleasant died Saturday, November 15, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital.
Funeral services for Mr. Powell will be conducted Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at 2:30 p.m. at Williams Mt. Pleasant Funeral Home with Randy Kersey officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late Harvey Powell and the late Mary Pearl Dickey Powell Moore. He was the beloved husband of 28 years to Sue Runions Powell of Mt. Pleasant. He was chemical operator for Cytec in Mt. Pleasant. He was an avid golfer and pool player.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Michael Kim Powell of Hohenwald, TN and Stephen Allison Powell of Mt. Pleasant, TN; his most precious joy-grandson, Preston Dakota Powell of Hohenwald, TN; a brother, Larry Kathy Powell of Mt. Pleasant, TN; five sisters, Joyce Henry ?Jr.? Kelley and Carolyn Ricky Lemay both of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Wilma Johnny Robb of Lynnville, TN, Mary Larry Thompson of Mt. Pleasant, TN and Vickie Brown of Columbia, TN; a father-in-law, Walter Runions; several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James Powell and sisters, Deloris Ragsdale and Elizabeth Powell.
Pallbearers will be Larry Thompson, Charles Taylor, Roy Fuller, Henry ?Jr.? Kelley, Donnie Fuller, Charles Runions, Johnny Robb, and Ricky Lemay.
Honorary pallbearers will be fellow employees of Cytec.
