Leonard L. Henson
October 11, 1923 — February 17, 2006
Mr. Leonard L. Henson, 82, a resident of Florida Avenue in Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, February 17, 2006, at Columbia Care and Rehab Center.
Funeral services for Mr. Henson will be conducted 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 19, 2006 at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Rick Points officiating. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the Tennessee National Guard. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
The Maury County native was the son of the late Oscar Raymond and Nora Elizabeth Nixon Henson and the husband of Margaret R. Edwards Henson. He was a WWII Veteran, retired from the Stauffer Company as a crane operator and was of the Methodist Faith.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Larry G. Henson of Columbia, TN and Bobby R. Donna Henson of Lewisburg, TN; a daughter, Sandra Denton Crews of Mt. Pleasant, TN; grandchildren, Amy, Jason, and Joshua Crews and Emily Runions of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Holly Michelle Thyen and Jillian Nicole Henson of Columbia, TN; great grandchildren, Kelsey and John Robert Thyen of Columbia, TN, Amelia and Ally Runions of Mt. Pleasant, TN; step grandchildren, Leslie Wiser and Matt Mealer of Lewisburg, TN; step great granddaughter, Karlye Wiser of Lewisburg, TN.
Pallbearers will be the Tennessee National Guard.
