Leo Hawkins Liggons, Sr.

Mr. Leo Hawkins Liggons, Sr., 72, died Monday, September 15, 2003 at his residence on Joe Brown Road in Spring Hill.

Funeral services for Mr. Liggons will be conducted Saturday, September 20, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Elder Alvin Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Williams Columbia Funeral home.

Leo was a native of Louisville, Kentucky and the son of the late Charles and Evelyn Hawkins Liggons. He was the husband of Bessie M. Steele Liggons. He attended Madison Jr. High School in Kentucky. He was retired as team leader with the Cadillac Car Motor Division for General Motors, where he was affiliated for thirty one and a half years. He was a Brotherhood and a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Leo Liggons, Jr., Rhonda Liggons and Candice Greg Butler and, Mark Liggons all of Detroit, Michigan, Chris Liggons of Las Vegas, NV., Kelvin Stephanie Perry and Demario Liggons of Spring Hill, TN.; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one brother, Titus Frances Liggons and two sisters, Juanita James Hardin of Louisville, KY. and Nancy McLeod of Detroit, Michigan.

Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Titus Liggons, Kelvin Perry, Grady Cook, Jessie Jones, Mark Liggons and Leo Liggons, Jr.
