Lenord Merlin Reddick

November 8, 1931 — December 2, 2007

Mr. Lenord Merlin Reddick, age 76, a resident of Hemingway Drive in Columbia passed away Sunday, December 2, at his residence.

Funeral services for Mr. Reddick will be conducted Tuesday, December 4, at 2:00 pm at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Mike Dawson and Rev. Pete Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19.

The family will visit with friends Monday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Born in Lawrence County, he was the son of the late Doris Alan and Anna Belle Fritch Reddick and husband of Ann McCormack Reddick, to whom he was married for 53 years. He was the Director of Environmental Services, Print Shop and Central Supply at Maury Regional Hospital for 20 years, Director of Laundry and Maintenance at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga for 7 years, Director of Laundry at Birmingham Baptist Hospital for 10 years, volunteer for the Maury County Sheriffs Dept., on the board of directors for the Impact Center and taught sign language, a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean conflict and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lawrenceburg.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Catherine Ann William Michael Henris of Franklin; grandchildren, Nathan Tyler Henris and Mary-Margaret Spencer Henris, both of Franklin; a sister, Viola Horne Gentry of Lawrenceburg; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Doris Alan Reddick, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Frank Bale, Sam Briggs, Robert Belt, Ray Lewis, Mike Hensley and Wes May. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Walter, Rex Pogue, Don Truelove, Ricky Collins, employees of Environmental Services of Maury Regional Hospital and the Lawrence County High School class of 1950.
