Peacefully and surrounded by family, Lee Rummage passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at the age of 60 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Lee was the son of Elmer and Mary Charlotte Baker Rummage. He married the love of his life, Pamela Kay Smith Rummage on September 3, 1982. They were happily married for 40 years. Lee was a graduate of Columbia Central High School class of 1981, attended college at Tennessee Tech University, and soon after became an employee of RJYoung for 30 years and then an employee of RICOH for 10 years as a Solution Sales Specialist. He enjoyed traveling with his family and working on cars and home projects.
Lee is survived by his wife, Pamela Kay Smith Rummage, his children, Matthew Lee Rummage, Michael Taylor Rummage, and Megan Kate Rummage, and his siblings, Laura Rummage and Gene (Phylis) Rummage. Lee will be missed dearly by Zoë, his dog, who was his constant companion.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Moton and Lucille King Baker and Odie Lee and Lula Jane Chumbley Rummage, parents, Elmer and Mary Charlotte Baker Rummage, brother-in-law Billy Glynne Rummage, and nephews Glynne Rummage and Tim Gibson.
The family wishes to send out a thank you to the Maury Regional Medical Center’s ICU Unit, the nurses at the Maury Regional Cancer Center, Dr. Messenger, Dr. Joel, and Dr. Quinn for their care and compassion. Also, special thanks to Mark and Tammy Blackwood and Michael and Amy Thomas for all of your love and support.
Lee’s service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at 4:00 pm, with a visitation prior to the service and followed by a celebration of life.
In lieu of flowers, Lee has asked that you please donate to his dear friend Stan Jones’s nonprofit organization Recognize and Remember Veterans.
