Larry Price

February 14, 1950 — February 15, 2025

Columbia

Larry Pratt Price, age 75, of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on February 15, 2025. He was born on February 14, 1950, in Radford, Virginia, to Richard and Nellie Price. Larry was raised in Radford, where he attended Radford High School before graduating from the Blue Ridge School for Boys and later East Tennessee State University.

Larry’s life was filled with love, especially for his late wife, Diane Price, whom he was married to for many wonderful years until her passing in 2022. Together, they shared a deep bond, and Larry’s love for her remained unwavering until his final days. He also found immense joy in the company of his grandchildren, Morgan, Jacob, and Madison Campbell, as well as Dustin Campbell and Miranda Cohen, and was thrilled to become a great-grandfather to Everson and Amelia Watson, Amari Cohen, and Elianna Campbell.

An entrepreneur at heart, Larry ran his own successful business for many years, all while maintaining an unyielding commitment to kindness and generosity. He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane, and his son, Adam Campbell. Larry is survived by his sister, Ann Dedrick (David), along with many nieces, grandnieces, and grandnephews, as well as countless dear friends, particularly his closest companion, Todd Warf.

A true lover of animals, Larry was deeply involved with the Maury County Animal Shelter, dedicating time daily to care for stray cats in his community. His compassion for animals was unmatched, and he also leaves behind his cherished dog, Patch.

Larry had many passions in life, including playing golf, enjoying music from the 60s, and traveling to his favorite spots like Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe. He loved cards, NASCAR, and especially the Daytona 500, where he created lasting memories with his father over the years. Though his love for NASCAR waned after the loss of Dale Earnhardt, Larry’s connection to the sport remained a beloved part of his past.

For many years, Larry vacationed in Daytona with his wife, son Adam, and grandchildren, where they would reminisce about their past adventures, particularly those with his father. The Ponce Inlet lighthouse was a place of special meaning for Larry and his family.

Above all, Larry was known for his unwavering kindness and generosity. He loved helping others, often without anyone knowing he was the one lending a hand. He had a knack for making people feel valued and was one of the classiest men many of us have ever known.

Larry leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, and compassion that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
