Mr. Larry Edward Wales, 55, a resident of West 8th Street in Columbia, died Saturday, December 11, 2004 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
A memorial service for Mr. Wales will be conducted Friday, December 17, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Columbia with Reverend Steve Wips officiating. Williams Funeral Home in Columbia is in charge of the arrangements.
The Detroit, Michigan native was the son of the late Edward Franklin and Mary Imogene Brown Wales. He was formerly married to Betty Wales of Columbia. He was a former welder in construction and served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He attended the Lighthouse Baptist Church. He loved reading the Bible and playing the guitar.
He is survived by a sister, Joanne David Kinney of Columbia, TN; three brothers, Danny Wales and Roy Sue Wales both of Priceville, AL, and Michael Fallin of Alabama; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; four step-children, Davey Fowler, Monty Fowler, Stevie Fowler, Victoria LaBelle and their spouses all of Columbia, TN; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
