Larry Wayne Cummins

Larry Wayne Cummins, age 68, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Cummins was the son of Malcolm Cummins and Annie Mae Chapman Cummins, and was born on January 23, 1946 in Maury County, Tennessee. On July 29, 1966 he married Glenda Faye South and she became Mrs. Cummins. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Larry was a hard working man who was a carpenter and had retired as a maintenance employee for Magnolia Academy. He was a member of Mt. Zion Church of Christ. The loves of his life were his wife and family, especially his grandchildren, church family, God and country. He also loved raising multiple colors of roses and fishing.

Mr. Cummins is survived by his loving wife: Glenda Faye South Cummins of Mt. Pleasant; daughter: Selena Morgan of Summertown; son: Chris (Jana) Cummins of Summertown; grandchildren: Courtney Cummins, Jon-Michael Morgan and Jordan Morgan; brother: Steve Cummins of Florida; step-sister: Laura Attkisson of Mt. Pleasant; nephews: Britt Cummins, Michael Cummins and Brent Cummins; niece: Ashley Cummins. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother: Malloy Cummins; step-brother: Dewey Workman.

Graveside services for Mr. Cummins will be held on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Arlington Cemetery with Bro. Dalton Cole officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Mt. Zion Church Christ, Dickie Davis, Harold Chapman, and Rogers Peters.
