Kenneth Bridges Sr., 85, of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on March 3, 2025. Born on September 19, 1939, in Kennett, Missouri, Kenneth was a man of quick wit, deep generosity, and steadfast love for his family. To know him was to love him, and to love him was to appreciate his humor, intelligence, and—if we're being honest—a healthy dose of stubbornness.
A man of many talents, Kenneth was the go-to person for advice, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a bit of wisdom, whether his family asked for it or not. He had a sharp mind and a kind heart, and he never hesitated to support those he cared about. He found joy in the simple pleasures—playing poker, hitting the golf course, and casting a line while fishing, the latter being his favorite pastime. He not only loved poker but also had a knack for entertaining his poker buddies, keeping the games lively with his sharp humor and well-timed jokes.
Kenneth is survived by his loving daughter, Robyn Blue; his daughter-in-law, Margaret Meadows; his cherished grandchildren, Samantha Moore (Taylor), Justin Cook, and Maurice Taunissen (Annie); and his great-grandchildren, Zach Taunissen, Andrew Taunissen, and Emmett Moore. Though his absence leaves a void, his family takes comfort in knowing he is reunited with his beloved wife, Brenda Bridges; his son, Kenny Bridges; and his granddaughter, Amanda Blue.
Kenneth’s humor, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and friends will be dearly missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew him.
Williams Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences can be given to the family at williamsfh.com.
