“Don’t sweat the small stuff….it’s all small stuff.” – the famous words of Kay “Suzy” Suzanne Emmitt.
Suzy passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the early age of 59, in her home on Adams Avenue in Mt. Pleasant, TN.
Suzy was born February 15, 1955 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late William and Vernon Emmitt. Suzy’s philosophy of life was “To err is human, to forgive is divine”. She studied communication arts at Louisiana College in Alexandria, LA earning her B.A. Suzy worked as an IT Operating Systems Consultant at Ingenix in Brentwood, TN. She had a deep passion for music, singing with numerous groups and within churches. Suzy was a bright spot in life, much like her favorite flower the red carnation. Suzy once said describing herself, “I’m single and childless…never found ‘the one’…I think he probably died years ago…in witness protection!” Her wit and charm were renowned.
A celebration of Suzy’s life will be held on Saturday November 15, 2014 beginning at 2 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, TN. The family will receive friends from noon until service time. An inurnment will follow at Arlington Cemetery.
Suzy is survived by her 4-footed companion: Jasper; one sister: Jayne (Jim) Andron of Wayne, PA; her loving brother Jon Emmitt of Mt. Pleasant, TN; two nephews: David Andron of Venice Beach, CA and Matthew Andron of Wayne, PA; two Aunts: Lois (Jerry) Stewart and Sue McCoy, and 7 beloved cousins.
