Kay Hendrix Neeley, age 78, passed peacefully with family by her side, Wednesday, July 13, 2022, in Columbia, Tennessee. Kay was born August 19, 1943, in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee to the late Mark Hendrix and Maude McAnally.
Kay was an incredible person who lived a full life of integrity and character. Kay loved and was always loyal to her Lord and to her family. Kay had a generous heart and always gave to others before herself. She was a longtime member of the Locust St. Church of Christ. A resilient mother who even through hardship provided for her two sons, even putting them both through college. She worked as a purchasing agent at Stauffer/AstraZeneca for many years. Kay is loved and will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
Kay is survived by her sons: Allen (Rachel) Neeley of Athens, AL, and Paul (Jennifer) Neeley of Sahuarita, AZ; grandchildren: Jacob (Makenzie) Neeley, Kathryn (Andrew) Richardson, Sara (Andrew) Bullington, Braxton Neeley, and Jackzen Neeley; nephews: Ricky Martin and Mark (Erin) Hendrix and longtime friend: Byron Gidcomb. Kay is preceded in death by her brother Richard Hendrix and sister Roberta Hendrix.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 15, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. Funeral services for Kay will be Saturday, July 16, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. also at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant with Bro. Stephen Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Mount Pleasant, TN.
Pallbearers will be: Jacob Neeley, Andrew Bullington, Andrew Richardson, Alan Thomason, Thomas N. Edwards, and Mitch Hendrix.
