Mrs. Kay Turner Hopton, age 53, a resident of West 6th Street in Columbia, passed away on Friday, Nov. 24, at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
Williams Funeral Home in Columbia is in charge of the arrangements.
The Lawrence County native was the daughter of Lawrence Earl Turner of Lawrenceburg, TN and the late, Mary Frances Appleton Turner. She was the wife of Alfred ?Tom? Hopton. Mrs. Hopton was a third grade teacher at Richland Elementary School in Giles County. She was a member of St. Peters?s Episcopal Church.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters, Jessica Hopton Youngburg and Maria Hopton both of Columbia, TN; one brother William Wayne Turner of Nashville, TN
