Kathy Odom Skora

Kathy Odom Skora, age 62, of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015, at her son’s residence in Mt. Pleasant.

Kathy was born on October 13, 1952, in Columbia, Tennessee to the late Wiley and Margaret Davis Odom. She loved her family and spending time with those she loved was the highlight of her life. Her hobbies included going to Thunder Hill to watch the races. She also loved interacting with friends and family on social media, especially sending games. Many folks enjoyed her comments and likes on their posts and pages. Over the years she had many beloved dogs who were like family as well.

Kathy is survived by her son: Phillip (Mindy) Counts of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren: Britani (Johnathan) Runions of Columbia, Taylor (Lauren Eastep) Counts of Columbia, and Logan Counts of Culleoka; great-granddaughter: Adisyn Hendley; siblings: Betty Gray of Mt. Pleasant and Buford Odom of Franklin; several nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Wiley and Margaret Davis Odom; brother: Felix Odom; sister: Ina Lovell; and her late husband: Terry Thomason.

Funeral services to celebrate Ms. Skora’s life will be held on Monday, August 31, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee with Bro. Danny Douglas officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Sunday, August 30, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Monday from 12 Noon until time for the service, also at the funeral home.

Anthony Gray, Gary Gray, Timmy Gray, Buddy Odom, DeWayne Gray, Johnathan Runions and Justin Cook will serve as pallbearers; honorary pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews.
