Kathryn V. Peden

Mrs. Kathryn V. "Kat" Peden, 87, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, February 24, 2008. She was born in Kendrick, MS to the late Charlie and Minnie Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Walker Peden of Summertown, TN. She faithfully served her Lord all of her life in many areas, including as teacher and leader. She was greatly loved and will be sadly missed.

She is survived by her four children: Sue Walker Ed Durham of Hixson, TX, Charles Thomas Beve Peden of Brandon, MS, Max Smith Michelle Peden of Eagleville, TN and John Mark Janice Peden of Madison, VA; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two sisters: Flora Quaranto and Francis Leeth; a brother: Ross Dorothy Smith.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, March 1 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, March 1 at 2:30 PM in the Arlington Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant. Services will be led by her son, Charles Thomas Peden.
