Ms. Kathryn Secrest, age 58, a resident of Clauson Drive in Columbia, passed away on Monday, August 4th at Alive Hospice in Nashville.
Funeral services for Ms. Secrest will be conducted Saturday, August 9th at 11:00 Am at the Canaan AME Church in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Pamela Miller officiating.
Williams Funeral Home of Columbia is in charge of local arrangements.
Ms. Kathryn Secrest was born to the union of Luther Jerry & Laura Mae McKnight on Feb. 2, 1950 in Mt. Pleasant, TN.
She was high school graduate of Clarke High School. She worked for Lasko Metal Products in Franklin, TN for 15 years and at Hygrade in Mt. Pleasant, TN for four years. She was a member of Canaan AME where she served under Rev. Nathan Fry faithfully and was loved by all. She loved to listen to music, read and do crossword puzzles.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories mother: Laura Mae McKnight, devoted children: a daughter Tomika Secrest; 2 sons: Robert Gaines and Cordera Secrest; 2 grandchildren: McKenzie Mullins and Kayden McCory; 4 brothers: J.C. McKnight, Steve McKnight, Randy Darlene McKnight, Tyrone Marilyn McKnight; aunts and uncles: Geneva Jones, MaryAnn Davis, Billy McKnight, Hayward & Margaret Jones, Kurtis McKnight, and Charles Jones; nieces and nephews: Renell McKnight, Joaquin McKnight, Rosalind McKnight and Luther Jerry McKnight III; a host of cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by Luther Jerry McKnight I, Laura Bell, Luther Jerry McKnight II and Darius McKnight
