Kathryn Brown Baker, age 95, longtime resident of Charles Place, passed away on Tuesday morning, May 11, at LifeCare Center of Columbia.
Kathryn was born March 20, 1921, in Maury County, the daughter of the late Seth R. Brown and Annie Pollock Brown. She was the wife of the late V. Milton Baker, who preceded her in death in 1998. Kathryn was a graduate of Hay Long High School in Mt. Pleasant and was a charter member of Two Rivers Baptist Church in Nashville. For many years, Kathryn was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant.
Survivors include her brother, Seth E. (Ruby) Brown of Mt. Pleasant; nieces and nephews, Seth E. Brown, Jr., of Antioch, Sara Kathryn (Chuck) Dawnhauer of Evansville, IN, Michael Brown and Mark Ulrick Brown of Crystal, MN, Charles Brown of Nashville, Kristen Chesnut of Calif., formerly of Scottsdale, AZ and Rock Anthony Arkie of Evans City, PA. She was preceded in death by siblings, James Alvin Brown, Roy C. Brown and Ann Arkie.
Graveside services for Kathryn will be conducted Thursday, May 12, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Rev. Frank Webb officiating.
