Katherine Stanfill Prince, 74 of Columbia, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Katherine was a native of Maury County and was born to the late Eldridge Rodolphus and Louella Pearl Hill Stanfill. She was married and completely devoted to her late husband, James Prince. She retired from CPS Industries in Franklin where she was an operation technician. Katherine was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Columbia. Her family says she was unselfish and loving which made her the best mother and grandmother. She enjoyed being outside in her garden and working with her flowers.
Funeral services for Katherine Prince will be Wednesday, August 21, at 4:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. John Rushing officiating. Burial will follow the service in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family invites friends for visitation on Tuesday, August 20, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. prior to the service, also at the funeral home.
Katherine’s survivors include: two sons, Gilbert (Diane) Prosser of Culleoka and Jim Morton of Santa Fe; five grandchildren, Leilani Stewart Fox (whom she raised as a daughter), Keisha Davis, Taylor Ledford, Steven and Justin Allman; two brothers, John Thomas (Joy) and Eddie Ray (Sue) Stanfill; step-daughter, Fay Prince (Kenny) Buchanan; eight great-grandchildren, Daniel and Katlyn Fox, Leighton Hurt, Austyn Ledford, Drayson Davis, Kaylee, Emma, and Camden Allman; several nieces and nephews also survive her. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Prosser; sister, Sara Johnson; and three brothers, Raymond, Lester, and Jack Stanfill.
The family would like to recognize and give appreciation to a special friend and caregiver, Karen Romero, as well to the ICU staff at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Pallbearers for Katherine’s services will be: Jeff, Robin, and Ricky Stanfill, Doug and Terry Anderson, Daniel Fox, Michael Masterson, and Roy Dean Johnson. Honorary pallbearers include: Tony Stanfill, Alan Fox, Jackie Gibbs, and Kenny Buchanan.
