Born August 16, 1930 in Gainesboro, Tennessee. she was the daughter of the late Russell and Naomi Whitaker Watson. She was the wife of Arthur Kendall who preceded her in death. In her younger days Katherine worked for the By-Pass Deli which is now known as the Sandwich Shop of Columbia. Her last employment was at Cosmolab in Lewisburg and was a member of Mooresville Pike Baptist Church. Her son Joe of Cemetery Memorials said his mother was an artist and he received his artistic abilities from her. By reflecting of her pass, her daughter Kathie said when she was in elementary school her mother was diagnosed with M. S. and all the neighbors would come and assist her with things around the house. As Kathie continues reflecting on her pass she remembers one particular Christmas where she received a Cinderella watch and a gown that her mother made for her. Mrs. Katherine loved sewing and making things for her family. Joe and Kathie agreed that she was the best mother that any child could have.
