Mrs. Katherine Ilderton Foster, 61, passed away on August 6 at her home after an extended illness.

A memorial service will be conducted at a time to be announced later at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah?s Witnesses in Columbia with Eric Sandusky officiating.

Kathy was born in Charleston, South Carolina where she resided until she married her husband of 44 years. They moved to Columbia in 1965. They had two children, Cheri and Stephen. In 1973 she dedicated her life to serving Jehovah God and became one of Jehovah?s Witnesses. She served Him faithfully until her death.

Kathy was known for the caring and concern she had for others. She was always happy and smiling and was never without a joke to tell?even if she was the only one that thought it was funny. You could rely on her to make you smile. She had a laugh that you could never forget and anyone that met her loved her.

She was a very loving and caring mother and supportive wife and worked as a secretary for her husband at Foster Construction.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Ronnie S. Foster; 2 children, Cheryl Foster and Stephen Foster; a daughter-in-law Amy Brewer Foster; 2 sisters, Jeannie Frederick of Redlands, CA and Alma La Plante of Goose Creek, SC; and 3 brothers, Norman Ilderton, Lucky Ilderton and Bobby Ilderton, all of Charleston, SC.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Highland Rim, 1412 Trotwood Ave., Columbia, TN or The Watchtower Society, 25 Columbia Heights, Brookland, NY 11201-2483.
