Karen Louise Turner, 80, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2022 surrounded by her friends and family at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Karen was born to Edward Turner and Betty (Land) Anderson in Sedgwick, CO on November 30, 1941. After retiring from BellSouth she went back to college to start her own small business Accountability, Bookkeeping and Tax Service. She loved raising dogs, horses and cows. She was an independent woman that had a unique spirit that made her memorable to all those around her. She was also a huge fan of westerns and always dreamed of moving back out west to enjoy her retirement. In the last years of her life, she was able to make that dream come true by moving to Oregon.
Karen is survived by 2 of her brothers, Larry and Raymond Turner, and her 3 daughters; Cherria Provey, Lari Stofel, and Dominique Spann. She also had 6 grandchildren; Paige (Cody) Wattenbarger, Bridget (Monte) Porter, Heather Loveless, Colton (Brooklyn) Provey, Samantha (Justin) Grooms and Lauren Stofel. Karen also had 4 great-grandsons.
There will be no local ceremony as her wishes were to be laid to rest beside her brother and parents in Colorado.
