Julia “Julie” Mary Dinoia, age 88 of Franklin, TN, passed away July 23, 2024 after a brief illness, with her children by her side. She was born in Chicopee, MA to Vincent and Stella Dinoia Rzasa. She was a long-term resident of Chicopee, Massachusetts where she went to Chicopee High School and lived in Chicopee with her parents and her brother Philip Rzasa. She met her husband, Leonardo Dinoia, while working at American Bosch. After Julia and Leonardo married, she spent most of her life in Longmeadow, Massachusetts raising a family of four children, Lori Bonzagni (James) Leonard Dinoia (Maria), Mark Dinoia (Deborah) and Christopher Dinoia (Kate). Julia was a great mother and spent her younger years tending to the details of raising her four children, including getting kids to hockey games, track meets, dance recitals, gymnastic meets and typing school reports. At the same time, Julia worked at Mercy Medical Center in the engineering department and finally retired from there. Julia was a very giving person and volunteered to deliver meals to those in need, worked in a soup kitchen and drove people to church. She was a great daughter to Stella and Vincent, overseeing their stay while they were residents of a nursing home for seven years. Julia moved to Tennessee in October 2022 to be closer to her sons Leonard and Mark Dinoia and her grandchildren Hannah, Nathan and Bethany Dinoia. Julia is preceded in death by her parents Stella and Vincent Rzasa, and her uncle Philip Rzasa. A celebration of Julia’s life and a graveside inurnment will take place at a later date in the fall.
