Judy Ann Baxter

Judy Ann Baxter, age 77, passed away after a long, courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, March 30, 2022.
She was born to the late James Brooks and Edna Earl McClain Brooks at home on April 24, 1944, in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee.
Judy is survived by her husband of 58 years, Gene Baxter; son: Gregory (Kay) Baxter, grandson: Cooper Baxter; brother: Johnny (Marty) Brooks; sister: Nancy England; special niece, Ashley England, and several extended family members.
In addition to her parents, Judy is preceded in death by her adoptive parents, Raymond and Lavonia Hamm; brother: Jimmy Brooks; and sister: Linda Grigsby.
You could find Judy walking her 5-mile route every morning rain, shine, or snow. When she wasn’t walking or hiking, you could find her in her garden with her dogs. She taught Sunday School at First United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant. She was absolutely devoted to her grandson and family.
The family will receive friends and visitors at Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant on Saturday, April 16, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with a memorial service beginning at 1:00 PM.
