Juanita J. Keys, age 97, of Mount Pleasant, Tennessee died September 19, 2018 at Life Care Center after an extended illness.
Visitation will be held on October 7, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Mount Pleasant. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. immediately following visitation with Pastor Tom Spellings officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
Miss Keys was the daughter of the late Reed and Carrie Keys. Her sister, Carolyn Grissom and brother William Keys preceded her in death. She is survived by nephew, Richard Grissom and niece Carol (Randy) Matlock, two great nieces, three great nephews, five great-great nieces and three great-great nephews.
Juanita worked for the Employment Security Office her entire career, helping people of Maury County acquire jobs. She was a vital part of the Mount Pleasant community through her church, the Mount Pleasant Museum, The Kings Daughters and Sons, UDC, DAR and the Maury County Historical Society. She was instrumental in the revitalization of Hunters Cemetery.
Her family lovingly called her “Neena”. She was their support throughout her life.
