Mr. J. T. Edwards, 86, a resident of Circle Drive in Mt. Pleasant passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at NHC/Hillview.
Funeral service for Mr. Edwards will be conducted Thursday, May 12, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home of Mt. Pleasant with Russ Adcox and Tommy Hagewood officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Cross Bridges, Tennessee native was the son of the late Lucius Hendley Sr. and Hattie Huggins Edwards. He was the widower of Mary Katheryn Murphy Edwards who passed away November of 1994. Mr. Edwards was a retired State Farm Insurance Agent for thirty five years. He was a Door Greeter at Wal-Mart for eight years and a member of the Locust Street Church of Christ.
He is survived by his children, David Murphy Gerri Edwards of Mt. Pleasant, TN, Marilyn Edwards Dennison of Nashville, TN and John T. Daryn Edwards, Jr. of Germantown, TN, two brothers, Harry Christine Edwards, Sr. of Spring Hill, TN and Lucius Hendley Dot Edwards, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, TN; grandchildren, Renee? Mike McKnight of Kingston Springs, TN, John David Edwards of Mt. Pleasant, TN and Katheryn Renee? Dennison of Nashville, TN; great-grandchildren, Kristin Marilyn McKnight and Tatum Michelle McKnight both of Kingston, Springs, TN.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Mack Edwards.
Pallbearers will be David Edwards, Johnny Edwards, John David Edwards, Hendley Edwards, Harry Edwards, Jr., William Edwards, Paul Edwards, Mike McKnight and Kyle Thomas.
