Joyce Fay Mcbride

Joyce Fay Dooley McBride, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, surrounded by family in Columbia, Tennessee.

Joyce was born on December 6, 1942, to the late Lee Edward Dooley and Cornelia L. Martin Dooley in Florence, Alabama.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Sherry Pruitt of Columbia, Teri Denise Shane (Tom) of Fruitport, Michigan; son: Steven McBride of Muskegon, Michigan; grandkids: Sarina (Chad) Szablewski of Columbia, Jimmy (Melissa) Pruitt of Columbia, Mitchell (Jade) Pruitt of Pulaski, Jared McBride, Hannah McBride, Ashley Shane, Chelsea Shane all of Michigan; many great-grandkids; several great-great-grandkids; sister: Barbara Cates of Lynnville; brother: Kenneth Dooley of California; and several more loving extended family members.

If you knew Joyce, you knew she was a character. She was a true spitfire but in the kindest way. She loved her family dearly and cherished the time spent with them. She will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her aunt who was like a mother: Tressie Brady; and sisters: Betty Presley and Margaret Inselman.

The family will receive friends and family to celebrate the life of Ms. Joyce at Williams Funeral Home in Columbia on Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
