Joyce Faye Kelley, age 60 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away October 10, 2016 at her residence.
Joyce was born January 14, 1956 in Columbia, Tennessee to Harvey Powell and Mary Pearl Dickey Moore. She was affectionately known as “Mama Joyce” to her family because she always found ways to take care of others. She enjoyed going to as many yard sales as possible, and Joyce’s family often referred to her as the “yard sale maniac.” Joyce’s home away from home was the Tennessee River, and you would often find her there camping, boating, or simply enjoying her family.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00-6:00 p.m. on October 14, 2016 at Main Street Church of Christ in Mt. Pleasant. The Celebration of Joyce’s life will follow the visitation at 6:00 p.m. with Randy Kersey officiating.
Survivors include her husband, Henry Alvin Kelley, Jr.; one son, Roy (Virginia) Fuller; one granddaughter, Nikki Fuller; siblings, Larry (Kathy) Powell, Carolyn (Ricky) Simpson, Wilma Robb, Mary (Larry) Thompson, and Vickie Cox; numerous nieces and nephews, and her two beloved pets, Bit and Lulu. Joyce was preceded in death by her brothers, Leroy and James Powell; and her sisters, Elizabeth Ann Powell and Deloris Ragsdale.
