Joyce Helen Foster Carney, age 75, a resident of West Main Street in Hohenwald, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2010. at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services for Mrs. Carney will be conducted with the Jones Funeral Home of Jacksonville, North Carolina at a later date. Williams Funeral Home of Columbia will be in charge of local arrangements.
Born June 28, 1935 in Onslow County, North Carolina she was the daughter of the late John L. Foster and Victoria Sutrell Foster. She was the wife of Clifton Daniel Carney, Sr. who preceded her in death. She worked for the Social Services for many in North Carolina and was of Baptist Faith.
She is survived by a daughter, Helenna Harold Irwin of Hohenwald; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
