Joyce Ann Dean

Joyce Ann Dean, age 61, of Columbia, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Joyce was born on November 4, 1955, in Giles County, Tennessee to Carter Dean and Ada Elizabeth Hendrix. She was a homemaker and a loving mother to her son, Eddie. She loved people, going shopping and flowers. She was just a lover of life in general. She was of the Christian faith.

Joyce is survived by her son: Eddie Loyd (Nakiya) Norman of Columbia; siblings: Jimmy Dean, Carl Dean, Jocie Boswell and Christine Oliver; grandson: Xavier Hood; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carter Dean and Ada Elizabeth Hendrix; and brothers: James and William Hendrix.

Funeral services for Joyce will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Bro. Bob Vassar officiating. Burial will follow in Lynnwood Cemetery in Lynnville. The family will visit with friends from Noon until time for the service on Wednesday, also at the funeral home.

Clay Oliver, Thomas Dean, Kerigan Tiffner, Anthony Gray, Steven Davis and Nick Thompson will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Dixon, Terry Oliver and Chris Oliver.
