Mrs. Joyce Swafford Anderson, age 70, a resident of the Hatcher Lane, passed away on Thursday, April 2, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
No services are scheduled at this present time. Williams Funeral Home of Columbia is in charge of the arrangements.
Born on September 17, 1938 in Logan, Kentucky, Joyce was the daughter of the late Jack Swafford and Marie Roberts Swafford.
Joyce worked many years at the front desk in the Court House of Mt. Pleasant with Judge Ed Workman. She was very much was a people person and enjoyed visiting with the city, county and state police officers at the court house. She was member of Pleasant Mount Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two daughters: Connie Steve Gilliam and Mary Anderson of Columbia; two grandsons: James Corey Anderson and Christopher Crumley of Columbia; one great-grandson: Nicholas Anderson of Columbia; one brother-in-law: Johnny Swafford of Knoxville.
