Joseph James Guzman

July 4, 1972 — June 17, 2003

Mr. Joseph "Joey" Guzman, 30, a resident of Cliff White Road in Columbia, died Tuesday, June 17, 2003 from injuries received in a work related accident .

Funeral services for Mr. Guzman will be conducted Friday, June 20, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Williams Columbia Funeral Home with Randy Kersey officiating. Burial will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Hammond, Indiana native was the son of Robert Guzman of Indiana and Diane Rod Beitler Rodriques of Hawaii and the was the husband of Windi Readey Guzman. He was employed at First Call Mobile Homes, Inc. in Hampshire and was an avid fisherman.

In addition to his wife and parents Mr. Guzman is survived by three daughters, Dani and Sheyenne Bridges of Columbia, Tennessee and Jordan Guzman of Kailua, Hawaii; two sons, Austin Bridges of Columbia and Nelson Guzman of Hammond, Indiana; one sister, Crystal Mauro Guzman of Kailua, Hawaii; one brother, Ryan Rodriques of Kailua, Hawaii; God-parents, Fred and Patty Bicknell of Columbia; a Grandfather, Joe Rita Brothers of Whitesville, Kentucky; a Mother-in-law, Jan Readey of Columbia; a sister-in-law, Michelle Wilkinson of Columbia and several aunts, uncle, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by a Grandmother, Rosemary Brothers, Grandparents Seberiano and Sarah Guzman, and a Father-in-law, Frank Readey.

Pallbearers for Mr. Guzman will be Jim Smith, Nathan Witter, Andy Witter, Rick Covington, Mike Johnson and Jackie Wales.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Lawrence County Ambulance Service, Dr. Bell and the nurses and staff of Crockett Hospital E.R.
