Jo Lena Thomason Griggs

Mrs. Jo Lena Thomason Griggs, age 97, a resident of Hidden Acres Drive in Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2007 in Hidden Acres Nursing Home.
Funeral services for Mrs. Griggs will be conducted Wednesday August 29, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Bro. Howard Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in the Arlington Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Frank and Ella Mae Thomason and wife of the late Clarence Griggs. She worked in a factory in Indiana, owned and operated a restaurant and was a homemaker. She was of the Nazarene faith.
She is survived by her nieces: Juanita Baker, Erlene, Betty Jo, Cynthia and Loreli, all of Nashville, Karen and Rita of Alabama, Shirley of Virginia, Brenda, Anna Faye, Beverly, Evangeline and Martha Ann, all of Mt. Pleasant, Eloise of Georgia and Dorothy; nephews: Wayne, Russell, Darrell, all of Mt. Pleasant, Mark of Detroit, Joe, Wayne, Doyle, Don and James, all of Alabama, Douglas Wayne of Columbia, Tommy of Brentwood, Roy Dudley and Charles Hall.
Also, a nephew?s wife, Dot Thomason, who was a special caring person to Mrs. Griggs while she was in the nursing home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
