John was born in Wayne County, Michigan on July 20, 1947. He was the son of the late Wilber and Agnes Kress Lightner. Mr. Lightner was 63 years old and a resident of Davis Street in Summertown. John retired from his home improvement business. He passed away Friday, January 14th at his residence in Summertown.
Mr. Lightner is survived by his children: Angela Lightner and Johnny Mary Lightner of Dearborn Heights, MI, Jacob Jenna Lightner, Peggy Lightner, Agnes Lightner, Katie Lightner and Kellie Furlong of Summertown; Marye Smith the mother of his children; one sister: Sandra Hawley of Dearborn Heights, MI; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Lightner will be conducted Wednesday Jan. 19th at 2:00 P.M. at the Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Brother Tony Sims officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00-9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
