Mr. Johnny G. Starr, 66, a resident of Deercreek Estates in Bon Aqua, died Friday, January 9, 2004 at his home.
A gathering to celebrate the life and music of Johnny Starr will be conducted Saturday, February 21, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at the Pizza Pub and Picking in Bon Aqua.
Born in Buckhorn, Pa., he was the son of the late Mathias Knorr and Della Walters and husband of Faith Starr, whom he shared his life and love of music with. He was a contract painter and an entertainer, writing and playing songs with the late Johnny Cash.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Samuel Delius of Delaware and Carl Knorr of Marion, IL; four step-children; six step-grandchildren; one step great-grandchild; several brothers and sisters in Pennsylvania.
Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, Tn. is in charge of arrangements.
