Johnnie Lee Lightfoot, Sr., age 93, passed away on July 27, 2020, at his home surrounded by family in Columbia, TN.
Johnnie was born on January 08, 1927, in Tullahoma, TN, to his late parents Levi Alexander and Annie Mae Lowhorn Lightfoot. Johnnie spent time working as a Welder/Pipefitter working for the local Union. He worked on many large scale projects here in Tennessee, including the Saturn/GM construction in the early '90s. He also worked on jobs outside his home state. He was a member of the Williamsport Church of God of Prophecy.
A private graveside service will be held at Polk Memorial Gardens on July 31, 2020, with Bro. Lawrence Jackson officiating. The family will be live streaming the service beginning at 11:00 am for those who would like to view.
Johnnie Is preceded in death by his first wife, Eloise Hunt Lightfoot. Johnnie is survived by his wife: Betty Lightfoot; his daughter: Patricia (Anthony L.) Collins of Columbia, TN; son: Johnny Lightfoot Jr. and Tom Kidd; grandsons: Michael Todd Collins; granddaughters; Michelle (Michael)Renee Collins Yonze; great-grandchildren: Matthew L. (Nicole) McDonald, Gabriel E. Collins, Ashley B. Hughes, and Sofia J. Collins; great-great-grandchildren: Bryson Fisher Wiles, Grayson Judah Wiles, Jaxon L. McDonald, Mercy A. McDonald, and London P. Hughes. His sister Magdalene Hall also survives him.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Johnnie's name may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimers Society.
